DRONE 101: An Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Rules & Regulations
What you need to know as a Recreational or Commercial Drone Enthusiast in Malaysia.
Drones are an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that can be autonomous or controlled remotely. It is a very broad term describing several different types of UAVs that span a variety of uses, features, and models. Drones are rapidly set to soar and gaining popularity in Malaysia, however as drones are a novel idea, information on them are limited here.
Join us in a session to discover and learn more about drones. Find out about the rules and regulations governing the use of drones in Malaysia whether for recreational or commercial use such as aerial photography, mapping, surveying and others. Meet up with available support groups in this field who work closely with Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other drones community. Find out what we can do to responsibly run drone activities for recreational, social or commercial purposes. Flyers, hobbyists and supporters or even beginners are most welcome to join this session.

Malaysia Unmanned Drones Activist Society (MUDAS) is a non-governmental organisation devoted to the development and advancement of Unmanned Drones in Malaysia. MUDAS promotes social responsibility and educational awareness for the drone community and provides training, mentorship and compliance in unmanned flight operations. It also act as a conduit between Government and Public in areas of Public Policy (includes regulatory and licensing for compliance in Unmanned Flight Operations).
